LOS ANGELES (October 25, 2007) - For the fifth time, Viking River Cruises was recognized by readers of leading travel publication Condé Nast Traveler in the “Top 10 Small Ship Cruise Lines” for the magazine’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards. Condé Nast Traveler’s annual survey allows its readers to rate hotels, cruises, airlines, islands, cities and more to recognize the world’s best travel companies. The 2007 survey—the magazine’s 20th annual—reflects voting by more than 28,000 readers, a record number. The small ship category is defined as cruise ships that hold fewer than 500 passengers. Cruise lines are rated in activities/facilities, cabins, crew/service, design/layout, food/dining, itineraries/ schedule and shore excursions categories; readers rate candidates on a five-point scale in each category and votes are combined to determine winning scores. “We are pleased and honored to have been chosen again in 2007 by Condé Nast Traveler readers,” said Torstein Hagen, Chairman and CEO of Viking River Cruises. “At Viking River Cruises, we strive to be the best at what we do. We focus on every aspect of our guests’ experience, from learning about our cruises and cruisetours, to making a reservation and preparing for a Viking journey, to all the details of the trip itself, to post-trip follow-up. We appreciate our passengers’ support in naming us their Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice.” In 2008, Viking River Cruises offers 20 itineraries for travel through Europe, Russia and China. Details are available from Travel Agents or by calling toll-free 1 877 668 4546 (1 877 66VIKING) to request brochures, or by visiting the company’s website at vikingrivercruises.com. Early Booking Discounts are available for many of the 2008 itineraries, and there are still staterooms available on late-season 2007 cruises. About
